Living in Philly

Penn’s campus is located in Philadelphia, one of America’s most historic and vibrant cities. Community engagement at the Penn School of Social Policy & Practice integrates the city’s many diverse resources into our mission of training leaders in social change.

In Philadelphia, America’s most historic sites stand side-by-side with the contemporary culture of a vibrant 21st-century city.

Philadelphia is a city of history, art, theater, international dining and much more. It even boasts a 9,200 acre city park system. Fairmount park is the world's largest inner-city national park.

Known as the “City of Murals,” Philadelphia’s urban environment is a canvas for the creative representation of history and ideas.

Throughout our website, we proudly highlight a selection of our city’s beautiful outdoor art gallery—imagery that embodies not only the artistic and diverse culture of our city, but the mission and values of the vast array of program offerings at the Penn School of Social Policy & Practice.

Thank you to the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program for allowing us to feature their magnificent work.
