Penn Alumni Card

Alumni of the University of Pennsylvania are entitled to a Penn Alumni Card, which grant the cardholder the following automatic privileges:

Additionally, the card can be used to

University of Pennsylvania Alumni Cards are issued at the PennCard Center (Franklin Building, Suite 150, 3451 Walnut Street). In order to receive the card, alumni are asked to show some form of photo ID (valid driver's license, passport, etc.) and fill out an Alumni Card Request Form. It then takes only a few minutes to take a photo and print out the finished Penn Alumni Card. Or click here to print out a copy of the Penn Alumni Card by Mail Request Form.

Cards cost $20 and are good for 10 years. Cards can be renewed or replaced for a cost of $15. Note that Penn Alumni Card discounts and privileges are subject to change without notice. For more information, click here.

Penn Library System

Many of the resources of the Penn Library are available for alumni use. In addition to the privileges listed below, alumni are also invited to library events and exhibits.
Alumni who wish to consult materials in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center and in most school and departmental libraries on weekends and on holidays may do so upon presentation of a valid Penn Alumni Card. When planning a visit to any of the libraries it is advisable to check individual library Access Policies.  

Alumni who want to borrow materials from the Library's collections may apply for courtesy borrowing privileges at the special alumni rate of $200.00 per year. The Penn Alumni Card must be presented upon application for courtesy borrowing privileges (see Penn Alumni Card). Application for courtesy borrowing should be made Monday through Friday to the Van Pelt Circulation Department. Call (215) 898-7566 for more information.

Not all library resources and services are available to alumni. These include: many of the library's electronic resources such as journal citation indexes and remote time-sharing datafiles; Interlibrary loan services; and use of the Library's Computer Labs. Penn Gyms

Any individual who has received a degree from an academic program at Penn may purchase a membership to Pottruck Health and Fitness Center or Hutchinson Gymnasium. To enroll for membership, alumni must go to the Membership Services Office in the Pottruck Center after they have obtained a PennCard. The Alumni Early Bird membership is a discounted program for alumni who limit their gym hours to the early morning. The Penn Club

The Penn Club of New York is an exclusive club for those affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.  Located in midtown Manhattan, the clubhouse boasts 13 floors filled with dining rooms, a fitness center & spa, meeting space & banquet facilities, overnight guest rooms, a library, and a business center. The Club offers a variety of programs including intellectual events, career advancement and professional development events, networking functions, social mixers, visiting chefs, wine tastings, pre-theater dinners, inter-Ivy events, book group luncheons, and a selection of events incorporating Penn traditions. Club Quarters are private hotels for the exclusive use of employees and guests of its member organizations in prime downtown locations offering business-oriented, user friendly, club-like facilities. Club Quarters hotels are located in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Washington DC, Houston, and London.
