| STATE OF THE SCHOOL ADDRESS and NETWORKING LUNCHEON 11:30 am – 1:30 pm Stiteler Forum (208 S. 37th Street) $15 The School was founded 100 years ago. Find out how it’s doing today and what’s on the agenda for tomorrow in a special State of the School Address by Dean Richard Gelles. Additionally, this luncheon will provide the opportunity for alumni to network with each other and meet their social work colleagues. |
| PENN’S CAMPUS EXPANDS EASTWARD 1:30 – 2:15 pm Logan Hall, Room 17 This program is part of the University’s schedule of events. Advance registration is not required, but seating is limited. The purchase of 24 acres of postal lands presents Penn with dramatic opportunities for expansion to the east. Join Anne Papageorge, Penn's Vice President of Facilities and Real Estate Services, as she discusses the near- and long-term plans for this land that brings Penn to the banks of the Schuylkill River. |

With issues like Iraq, health care, immigration, terrorism, and government scandals dominating election year news, prominent Penn alumni from a number of fields will assess the current political climate and what it means for the future. Donald F. Kettl, Stanley I. Sherr Endowed Term Professor in the Social Sciences and Director of the Fels Institute of Government, will moderate the discussion. |
