Career Resources
The Office of Career Services is a resource for Penn alumni—you may access many of their services even after you have graduated. As a Penn alum, you can:
- Speak to counselors for career and graduate school advising
- Maintain a credentials (recommendation) file
- Sign up for job announcement listservs
- Take the MBTI personality inventory and review results
- Attend career panels, workshops, employer presentations and career fairs
- Explore the Career Library and review funding sources
- And more!
The Office of Career Services maintains multiple job announcement listservs. Penn alumni are welcome to sign up for any of the listservs (browse the lists and choose the ones that best meet your field, i.e., macro/government jobs, clinical/direct practice, etc.)
The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) develops and maintains the social work licensing examinations. Information about the exams can be found on the ASWB website.
Social Work licensing requirements vary by state, so it is recommended that you check out the requirements for the state in which you are getting licensed.
