Looking for ways to honor Social Work Awareness Month? CTW is excited to support Horizon House and their Million Coins Campaign- CHANGE can make real change! Horizon House provides a continuum of services and supports to adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. How will your change make change? Your money will:

In celebration of Social Work Awareness Month, SP2 staff members want to show their appreciation for the numerous ways social workers impact our world. SP2 staff are going to MANNA from 1-4pm on Tuesday March 18th to help prepare and package some of the 24,000 meals MANNA delivers a week. MANNA is a non-profit organization that cooks and delivers nutritious, medically-appropriate meals and provides nutrition counseling to neighbors who are battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, renal disease and HIV/AIDS.
In conjunction with the Sayre Health Center, CTW will be hosting a health fair open to the community on Saturday April 5, 2014 from 11am – 2pm. The event will take place in the Sayre Health Center parking lot at 59th and Locust. Health-related vendors and organizations from the area will be represented and same day health services such as free eye exams and dental screens will be offered. There will be plenty of activities for kids, including a fire truck, inflatable bounce house, and outdoor games. Snacks will be served.

Join CTW at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House at 39th and Chestnut on Friday April 11th (time TBA). CTW will prepare dinner and dessert and interact with families staying at the House. The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope.
