The Field Center is a collaboration among the Penn School of Social Policy & Practice, the Penn School of Law, the Penn School of Medicine, the Penn School of Nursing and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The Field Center combines the efforts of multiple disciplines and perspectives to creatively address critical issues facing the child welfare system. With a “think-outside-the-box” approach, the Field Center is able to transcend traditional barriers and creatively find solutions.
On November 27, 2012 the final report of the PA Task Force on Child Protection was released at a public hearing at the State Capital in Harrisburg. Recommendations constitute an unprecedented overhaul of how child abuse reports are currently addressed in Pennsylvania. The Field Center is honored to have played such a significant role in the process.
