Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Evaluations to Ensure Better Decisions
for Philadelphia’s Children

Annie Steinberg, MD and Gillian Blair, Ph.D. conducted forensic evaluations of children referred by Philadelphia Department of Human Services, Philadelphia Family Court, and other professionals involved in the child welfare system to assist in determining the appropriate disposition for at-risk children and their families.  Evaluations assessed risk to the child, determined the capacity of the parent to assure the safety of the child, and assisted in developing the best intervention for the referred child.  Evaluative reports were generated and expert testimony was provided as needed.  When appropriate, recommendations were developed with specific policy and practice implications.
