Welcome Alumni & Friends...
to SP2’s Development and Alumni Relations page! The Development and Alumni Relations Office plays an important role in ensuring the stability and growth of the School of Social Policy & Practice. Our objectives are to:
- serve the School’s multiple stakeholders; including students, faculty, staff, members of the Board of Overseers, alumni, and friends who believe in our mission,
- help connect alumni to the School and the many benefits for Penn and Social Work/ Social Policy & Practice graduates, and
- meet vital needs at the School by providing education and viable gift opportunities for potential donors and friends.
Allow me to introduce you to the Development and Alumni Relations team:
I am team captain and provide overall strategic planning and direction for fundraising and alumni relations. Tim manages the School’s Annual Fund and coordinates special projects. Emily is an alumna (MSW ’05), so her primary focus is spearheading our dynamic and ever-growing alumni relations program. Finally, Kathy, our development associate, handles client and administrative services, as well as overall office management.
Together we are working to promote good will among our alumni constituency and to showcase the multiple and mutually beneficial partnerships available at SP2.
Approaching its centennial, the School of Social Policy & Practice is stronger than ever. There are new programs—including exciting interdisciplinary collaborations with other schools at Penn—new faculty hires, and more partnerships with agencies and communities. After almost 100 years as a leader in social work education, SP2 continues to embody Penn’s historical commitment to social justice.
I hope you will join us in our ongoing success! Please follow the links below to learn more.
