Congratulations to the Winners of the Field Center's Documentary Film Contest on Child Abuse

Please join us at the Zellerbach Theater at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a very special evening of film, food, and celebration to honor young filmmakers who are using film to convey the significance of child abuse and neglect. We are delighted to host a Documentary Film Festival featuring the winning original documentaries submitted by local students as well as the Academy Award-nominated documentary, Deliver Us From Evil, a moving and provocative portrayal of the three-decade history of a Catholic priest’s sexual abuse of children in his own words. Special Guest Host for the Documentary Film Festival and Awards Ceremony is Deliver Us From Evil’s award-winning filmmaker, Amy Berg. A reception with Ms. Berg and the filmmakers will follow screening of the films.
Tickets to this special event are included in the cost of conference registration. Additional guest tickets are available for $15.

Deliver Us From Evil, a critically-acclaimed documentary which features the disclosure of a Catholic priest's three-decade history of sexual abuse of children, has been the recipient of numerous awards for Best Documentary, including the LA Film Festival, Boston Film Festival and NY Film Critics awards, and has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary of 2006.
