OSTRC Academy


The OSTRC Academy is a special workshop series that covers a range of professional themes and is available to all OST staff. Participants are actively engaged in a variety of learning activities designed to enhance their professional development competencies and abilities.

OSTRC Academy workshops address OST professional development content, such as "Promising Practices in Professional Development" and "Professional Standards and Advancement for Youth Workers." Also included is a selection of workshops that utilize the OSTRC's areas of expertise, such as "Surveys 101," "Making the Most of Networking," and "Introduction to OST Resources."

  • Seating is very limited, so register as soon as possible! Walk-ins are now welcome as space allows!
  • The fee for each session is $10. Please check Registration Instructions for details.
  • PA Keys credit and ACT 48 credit are available to all participants, but OSTRC Academy sessions DO NOT carry official college credit.
  • Participants who miss more than 15 minutes of the session will not get credit.
  • All sessions are held at the Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC), located at 3815 Walnut Street on the campus of University of Pennsylvania.
