Do you know a potential leader in the field of social work, nonprofit/non-governmental leadership, or social policy? For almost one hundred years, the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice has been committed to educating leaders committed to confronting societal problems. Today, thousands of SSW/SP² alumni have put their social work education into practice to impact change at individual, community, national and global levels. We are certain that every day our alumni meet talented individuals committed to social justice and social welfare who are ideal candidates for our Masters or Doctoral degree programs.
As a result, the Admissions Office created the Alumni Admissions Referral Program, in which alumni are invited to recommend applicants to the following programs: Masters of Social Work (MSW), Masters of Science in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership, MS in Social Policy, or PhD in Social Welfare. The application fee will be waived for any applicant who is recommend by an SSW/SP2 alumnus/a.
Recommendation forms ask for your name and contact information, along with the name and contact information of the potential applicant(s). Please note that anonymous recommendations of applicants will not be eligible for the application fee waiver.
To recommend an applicant, you may complete the form online or download a printable version and mail it to Sherisse Laud-Hammond / Admissions Office / School of Social Policy & Practice / 3701 Locust Walk / Philadelphia, PA 19104.
If you have any questions, or would like more information about our Alumni Admissions Referral Program, please contact Sherisse Laud-Hammond at 215.898.5521 or slaud@sp2.upenn.edu.
