Mr. McBride comes to the position of Director of Continuing Education with a wide range of experience in training and presenting in the social work field. He worked as the Director of Social Work Training and the Chief Social Worker at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center. He continues to teach at the school as a part time lecturer as he has done for the past 10 years. Mr. McBride has presented for NASW-NJ, Rutgers School of Social Work, and independently for the past 25 years.
In addition to working at SP2, Mr. McBride maintains a private practice in Lawrenceville, NJ. His areas of practice specialization include family therapy, death and dying and bereavement, trauma, coping with chronic illness and behavior problems in children. He has consulted with Compassionate Friends, Pennsylvania SIDS Foundation, the US Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, Victims of Pan Am 103 and many other schools and organizations.
