Dr. Spigner, Kenneth L. M. Pray Professor, is co-director of the Field Center for Children's Policy Practice and Research, which is a multi-disciplinary voice for children in the child welfare system through its research, education and policy work.
- The Field Center brings together the Schools of Social Policy and Practice, Law, and Medicine to examine critical issues affecting abused and neglected children.
- Dr. Spigner has worked to develop and implement federal policies for the protection of America’s children including those at the interface of domestic violence and child welfare and substance abuse and child welfare.
- Her current research focuses on documenting the experience of parents in the child welfare system.
