The library system of the University of Pennsylvania consists of the Van Pelt Library Center and 15 school/departmental libraries. The Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center is the central social sciences/humanities library and houses an extensive social work collection. The Library's on-line catalog, Franklin, and journal article files in a wide range of subject areas can be searched by Penn students and faculty via PennNet. A large number of other computerized search services are available. An interlibrary loan/document delivery service enables students and faculty to borrow books and journal articles which are not in the University's collections.
