FAQs for New Students

What is a PennKey and how do I get one?

A PennKey is a personal identification username that is required to log-in to many electronic services at Penn.  All students are required to have a PennKey so that they can gain access to electronic resources such as library databases, email, and electronic courseware. A Pennkey is also required before you can register for classes. You set-up your PennKey and password online, using a PennKey set-up code that is mailed to entering students. If you have not received this mailing, please send an email to pennkey@isc.upenn.edu to inform them of this, or visit the PennKey website http://www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey/ for more information.
