Social Work Advocates for Immigrant Rights

Social Work Advocates for Immigrant Rights (SWAIR) provides support to immigrants in the Philadelphia community, and aims to strengthen knowledge and understanding of social workers’ role in issues of immigration. We do this by identifying and addressing the distinct needs, strengths, and perspectives of immigrant communities based on culture, immigration status, and country of origin. Key activities include supporting local community organizations in their work through systems change advocacy and direct service clinical social work.
