MSW students at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice are encouraged to apply to the Goldring Reentry Initiative (GRI) as their field placement (internship) opportunity.

The GRI has a set application deadline for 2nd year MSW students, but there is a rolling deadline for 1st year and Advanced Standing students.  This is a competitive field placement so early applications are encouraged.

Please note:

  • Part-time students will only be considered if they can commit to 16 hours between Monday-Friday, 9-5, including each Monday from 2-5pm.
  • First year MSW students will only be considered if they have relevant work and/or volunteer experience in the social services field.  Prior experience does not have to be in the criminal justice or reentry fields.
