This is a non-credit program that accepts applications from individuals who hold a master’s degree in social work. License is preferred. Applicants must have at least two years of practice experience in a healthcare social work setting.

Required for Program Application
A short personal statement in which you describe a case that motivates your pursuit of advanced learning. Please include a statement of your learning goals for the program and how you see the program elevating your professional development.
A letter of recommendation from your current supervisor that includes a statement of support for your application and your participation in the program.
*Applicants may elect to send an additional letter of recommendation from a current or past supervisor.
Program Fee: $3,950
Program Costs Cover:
- All supplementary learning materials;
- Access to online course materials for use between modules;
- Certificate of Completion;
- Breakfast and lunch during each class session; and
- Continuing Education Units.
Students are responsible for purchasing The Handbook of Oncology Social Work and all travel expenses to and from the University of Pennsylvania.
The program fee of $3,950 for the Advanced Certificate in Oncology Social Work program includes all 11 classroom sessions and the one-month virtual capstone session. Also included are an estimated 62 CEUs (3 will be Ethics) which will be provided session by session in a certificate documenting the hours completed.
Participants are required to pay the $500 deposit via the online enrollment system either directly via credit card or by mailing a check payable to: The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.
Following the deposit participants will be invoiced monthly for the balance due of the full amount of fees minus amounts already paid. Complete fees must be paid by March 30, 2019 to continue in the program. CEU certificates will only be issued once complete student fees are paid. Our team will work with you and your employer to identify the best methods for reimbursement or direct payment of funds by your employer.
