Application Requirements

A short personal statement in which you describe a case that motivates your pursuit of advanced learning. Please include a statement of your learning goals for the program and how you see the program elevating your professional development.

A letter of recommendation from your current supervisor that includes a statement of support for your application and your participation in the program.

An updated resume.

Program Fee: $3,950

Program Costs Cover:

  • All supplementary learning materials;
  • Access to online course materials for use between modules;
  • Certificate of Completion;
  • Breakfast and lunch during the immersion weekend (please communicate any dietary restrictions);
  • Individualized Capstone mentorship; and
  • Up to 60 Continuing Education Credits.

Students are responsible for purchasing The Handbook of Oncology Social Work and all travel expenses to and from the University of Pennsylvania.

The program fee of $3,950 for the Advanced Certificate in Oncology Social Work program includes all 10 months of bi-monthly virtual classroom sessions, a three day in-person intensive and supervision of your capstone project. Also included are an estimated 60 CEUs (3 will be Ethics) which will be provided session by session in a certificate documenting the hours completed.

Participants are required to pay the $500 deposit via the online enrollment system either directly via credit card or by mailing a check payable to: The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.

Following the deposit, participants may either pay the tuition in full or may elect to be invoiced monthly for the balance minus tuition and fees already paid. Complete fees must be paid by September 30th, 2020 to complete the program. CEU certificates will only be issued once complete student fees are paid. Our team will work with you and your employer to identify the best methods for reimbursement or direct payment of funds by your employer.
