Anna is a first-year PhD student at the School of Social Policy and Practice. Her research interests include the role of civil society in refugee integration and the various forms of institutional, collective, and individual activities in serving refugee reception, integration, and civic engagement.

Anna received her BSW from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. Anna has worked at refugee resettlement agencies in the US and has provided case management services to youth and families in Philadelphia. Before pursuing a PhD, Anna also volunteered at a small nonprofit in Palestine serving Palestinian youth in Nablus, nearby villages, and the refugee camps.
