Gwen Emmons utilizes her substantial digital experience to help nonprofits develop and implement powerful and effective online advocacy and fundraising programs. Prior to re-joining M+R Strategic Services, Gwen received her MSW with a focus on policy, organizing, and nonprofit management at the University of Pennsylvania and managed a record-breaking electoral campaign for Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania. She most recently worked at the social justice organization Forward Together, where she pioneered techniques to engage rural, queer, trans*, Indigenous, and POC communities in the organization’s advocacy and culture shift work.

“I wanted a macro social work education firmly rooted in racial justice. I got that – and so much more. Surprisingly (for a macro person like me) the skills I find most invaluable in my work are ones from my clinical work! The ability to listen deeply, to understand people as intricately connected to their environment, and to ask the right questions are critical to my success today.”
