Janice Orlov is the Associate Dean of Finance & Administration for SP2, a role in which she oversees the School’s fiscal operations, strategic financial planning, financial aid, information technology, human resources, and facilities coordination.

Janice’s passion for the mission of higher education led her to transition from a career in corporate financial leadership to the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. During her time at Penn, Janice enjoyed serving in roles including Budget Director for the Wharton School, Managing Director of Finance & Operations for Wharton Executive Education, and Director of Finance for New Ventures and Senior Director of Finance for the Provost’s Office. Also during her Penn years, Janice earned her EdD in Higher Education Management at the University’s Graduate School of Education, with research focused on faculty members disclosing their sexual orientation in their classrooms and the related impact on the faculty member, teaching/learning, students, and society. For the past several years, Janice has served as an adjunct instructor at universities in the Philadelphia area, teaching courses on finance and strategic planning. She relishes any opportunity to teach, whether it be in formal classroom settings or informally in her administrative roles! Janice’s background also includes an early career role as a CPA with Ernst & Young, a Master of Science in Instruction from Drexel University, and a Master of Business Administration from Wilkes University.
