Katrina Morrison, MA, EdD

Dr. Katrina K. Morrison is a Lecturer at the School of Social Policy and Practice. She has taught SWRK 603 and 713 since 2013. She is a Senior Researcher at the University of Delaware (UD). As a researcher, Dr. Morrison leads research and evaluation projects on school climate initiatives, families’ access to services for children with developmental disabilities, and professional development for school-based practitioners. 

Before joining UD’s faculty/staff, Dr. Morrison was a Lecturer at Penn’s Graduate School of Education and a Research Associate at Research for Action. She served as a Research Analyst at the Civil Rights Project/Proyecto Derechos Civiles. Dr. Morrison has been a high school Humanities teacher, a teacher supervisor, and a lecturer at Drexel University. She has also led a variety of research evaluation projects that draw on her interests in education, social justice, equity, race, and youth development. For instance, she has evaluated a Pennsylvania drug court, a summer reading program for elementary school students in Philadelphia, and a health clinic at Project HOME. Dr. Morrison has published articles and chapters in school climate, evaluation, and data use. She received her EdD in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Katrina also holds a BA in Political Science and Educational Studies from Swarthmore College and an MA in Criminal Justice from Temple University.
