Ling Wang, MSW’10, MS’11

  • Community Affairs Manager, Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd.

“When I stood on the stage to receive Microsoft Global “Corporate Affairs Excellence” Award, I was so grateful to my family, colleagues and my beloved SP2. Penn MSW program equipped me well both in theories and practices. My professors imparted knowledge and experience to us. Moreover, they enlightened us to think further. The field placements also benefit me a lot. I could immersed to the agencies and therefore accumulate first-hands experiences. As an international student, SP2 is a warm family to me. The professors, students and staff at SP2 are so nice to us.

“I joined Microsoft China as Community Affairs manager, because the company needs a person who has social work background to handle Corporation Citizenship programs. Besides working at Microsoft, I also lecture ”Social Work Practices with Children” at Beijing Normal University, one of the top universities in China. I do treasure the knowledge I learned from MSW program and hope to share it with future social workers in China.”
