    Lauren Ferreira Cardoso is a doctoral candidate in SP2’s PhD program in Social Welfare. Her research focuses on violence against women (VAW). She has specific interests in the structural factors that contribute to VAW, women’s safety and mobility, and the role of technology in preventing, documenting, and perpetrating VAW. Prior to entering the PhD program, Lauren conducted program evaluations for NGOs in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. Lauren received her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and Bachelor’s degree in Literatures and Cultures in English from Brown University.
