Mary Mazzola, MSW, EdD

Mary Mazzola is the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management and Global Outreach. She oversees recruitment and admissions functions for all five degree programs offered by the School. In addition, Dr. Mazzola collaborates with colleagues on global issues, recruits students from across the globe, and presents at international forums on issues such as social work in health care and the internationalization of higher education.

Dr. Mazzola is an alumna of SP2, as she earned her MSW degree from the School. She also received her EdD in Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Dr. Mazzola has extensive clinical and administrative experiences; prior to working at Penn, Dr. Mazzola practiced in the health care arena. Dr. Mazzola returned to the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 as a part-time lecturer teaching required and elective courses in the MSW program. In 2000, Dr. Mazzola began her full-time administrative tenure at the School. Under her leadership, enrollment has grown extensively, and the student body now hails from across the country and around the world. She is known as an innovator, collaborative leader, and strong communicator, who is data driven when implementing change
