
Maureen Bell, MSW, LSW
Maureen is the Research Coordinator & Social Worker at the Center for Carceral Communities. Prior to working at the Center, she worked at Valley Youth House, working with youth in the foster care system and service providers to improve outcomes, as well as provided quality assurance and data and program analysis. Maureen also led an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Southern California that served unhoused people who had been dually diagnosed and spent several years working in the healthcare technology field when she resided in New Orleans. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work, having graduated from West Chester University in 2021.
