All students are eligible to take waiver examinations for SWRK 601: History and Philosophy of Social Work and Social Welfare, SWRK 602: Human Behavior in the Social Environment, and SWRK 615: Introduction to Social Work Research prior to enrolling in those courses. These waiver exams offer students the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of material covered in these foundation courses. Students who successfully pass a waiver exam must substitute an elective course into their first year schedule. Additional information may be found here.
Advance registration is required. The SWRK 602 exam is available online through Canvas, and is a timed, 2.5 hour exam. The exam may be taken at any time during the exam window (August 8 at 9:00 am – August 17 at 11:59 am).
