For Guests

SP2 Ceremony Information

The SP2 Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 6:30 PM in Irvine Auditorium, located at 3401 Spruce Street. Doors will open for guests at 5:45 PM. All guests, except those who have made advanced arrangements with the graduation coordinator for special accommodations, should enter through the doors at the corner of 34th and Spruce Streets. Guests who have made arrangements in advance for special needs accommodations (e.g., wheelchair seating) should enter through the west entrance of Irvine Auditorium (closest to Houston Hall).

Tickets are required for the SP2 Ceremony in Irvine Auditorium. Children under the age of two do not need a ticket if they will be seated on an adult’s lap for the entirety of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, guests should plan to meet their graduate in Houston Hall, Wynn Commons, or on Spruce Street. The graduate procession at the end of the ceremony proceeds directly to Houston Hall; graduates will not be able to linger in Irvine Auditorium to convene with guests in that building.

SP2 Ceremony Streaming Broadcast

The SP2 ceremony will be viewable via a live broadcast stream and will be available for guests who don’t have tickets to Irvine Auditorium. The live stream will be accessible through a link on the SP2 website and will go live shortly before the ceremony begins.

Additionally, limited seating will be available in Bodek Lounge in Houston Hall (3417 Spruce Street) for guests who would like to watch the broadcast stream of the SP2 ceremony from there (e.g., guests with young children, guests without tickets, guests who prefer to have more mobility during the ceremony, etc.).

University Ceremony Information
